Adam founded Protempo in 2004 and has seen it grow spectacularly in the years since. Managing key brand and customer relationships, he has a phenomenal in-depth knowledge of the global consumer electronics market, its products and the channels it operates through.
Adam studied E–commerce at Victoria University, where he also founded and built the Yellow Fever website – one of NZ’s most popular supporters’ forums.
Mark brings a detailed knowledge of the consumer electronics retail market to the company and directs our NZ and Australian distribution operations. Driving our business development, Mark is constantly searching for and developing exciting new products to enhance our customers’ profitability. Mark has an unrivaled knowledge of the consumer electronics sector and works hard to ensure Protempo stays ahead of its competitors and leads the market.
A graduate in law from the University of Otago and the Universita di Milano, Mark likes to hit the gym in his spare time to keep the guns in shape.
International Sales director
With a wealth of international trading experience, Adam helps our customers source the right branded consumer electronics to fit their needs. Several years working in the buying department of a major electronics retailer has given him a detailed knowledge of what it takes to boost retail profit and market share.
Adam is a graduate of Cardiff University, where he studied Business Management. He is still waiting for Wales to win their first World Cup.
VP of Business Development
Jim started his career as a CE buyer for the largest retailer in Toronto, Canada, followed by a role as a merchandise manager with the largest video gaming distributor in Canada. Most recently he worked for US publishers Interplay and Take 2 as VP of Sales and then as VP of Sales Americas for Madcatz. Launching Rock Band 4 was his last big project before joining Protempo, where he is responsible for growing our network of brands and retail customers.
A graduate of Seneca College with a degree in Business, Jim spends what spare time he has sports fishing or watching and playing football and hockey.
GM for Australian Sales and Purchasing
Djamel started his IT career back in France at Avnet as a national sales rep. In 2003, he moved to Australia and joined Avnet as a Sales Rep/Product Manager. In January 2010 he then accepted a position at the #1 Australian Online Retailer, Catch of the Day, as the Tech Category Manager.
Djamel’s rich Australian and International experiences brings a wealth of contacts and knowledge of the IT/CE market to Protempo. His reputation and connections in the industry are a real strength for Protempo and he has opened new opportunities for our business in Europe as well as Middle east and Africa, supporting the company’s global expansion.
Director Of Sales U.S.
Don is a veteran of the video game industry starting on the launch team of PlayStation in 1995. His skill set includes MMO’s, Console, PC, Hardware, Pro Flight, POSA, Digital Distribution, Mobile Gaming, Operations, Free-to-Play Games, Peripherals and the marketing behind them.
He has built and maintained key sales relationships for the last 22 years, in and outside the industry. Some of the most notable games he was an integral part of are EverQuest, EverQuest 2, PlanetSide 1, PlanetSide 2, DC Universe Online.
Don spends most of his time watching Lacrosse or traveling to his sons College Lacrosse games.
Finance and Operations manager
A chartered accountant in both NZ and the UK, Andrew has a wide knowledge of the international commodity and technology sectors gained from his time in major global companies. With over two decades of experience in leading high-performance finance and operations teams, he’s perfectly positioned to help Protempo as we expand our global footprint.
Andrew is a graduate of St Andrews University but he still hasn’t sorted his hook off the tee – despite having a Physics degree!

Allen’s mission is to deliver smart, high performance and reliable products at significant savings that we can pass on to our customers.

Allen has over 15 years of product management experience, from highly advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment to consumer electronics manufacturing for leading global brands. He also brings retail experience to the table, having been a part of the largest consumer electronics retailer in the US. Allen graduated from the University of Auckland with a double major in Accounting and Finance.
Between work and daddy duties at home, Allen likes to get out and enjoy the natural beauty of New Zealand.
International Sales & Operations
With an extensive background working in both large multinationals and SMAs, Daniel brings a wealth of experience to our trading team. Daniel joins Protempo from the manufacturing and technology sector, where he worked in a number of high-performing and award-winning organisations.
Daniel is a graduate of Auckland University’s Business School. If you spot someone out cycling at the crack of dawn, wave – it’s possibly Daniel doing his daily commute to the office.
Procurement & Distribution Manager
Shella keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes at Protempo. She provides support for our NZ retail customers, manages the supply chain, liaises with our manufacturers and organizes the logistics for our end customers.
Shella is a graduate of University of Auckland, with a double major in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics.
Operations & Business Analyst
Alpha is the mad spreadsheet specialist. With accounting, operation and information management expertise, Alpha manages the business intelligence for Protempo, transforming raw data into meaningful and useful information for business analysis purposes.
He graduated from the University of Auckland where he studied Accounting and Information Management. Alpha believes everything can be solved with spreadsheet… as long as it’s less than 1,048,576 rows.
Jason uses his skills to support the finance team in making accounts management more efficient and effectively. He has strong accounting knowledge and a solid background in the international trading and distribution industry, obtained from working in different major companies in New Zealand.
Jason graduated from Auckland University of Technology with a Commerce degree and is a bit of a badminton superstar.
David might be intelligent and a technical whizz but it’s his excellent communication skills and ability to explain even the most complex issues to users that most impresses us. David’s background in IT coupled with deep technical knowledge makes him an ideal leader for our support team.
David was a star gymnast so he has no trouble bending over backward to provide the highest levels of customer service.
Ann prides herself on her fast and efficient service and organisation. She is across everything in our warehouse at all times! In addition to managing the best organised warehouse in the country, Ann is also a master at the controls of our forklift.
