Adam Brown
Founder and Head of Trading
Adam's focus is on channel management and minimizing market disruption for our brands.

Adam founded Protempo in 2004 and has seen it grow spectacularly in the years since. Managing key brand and customer relationships, he has a phenomenal in-depth knowledge of the global consumer electronics market, its products and the channels it operates through.
Adam studied E–commerce at Victoria University, where he also founded and built the Yellow Fever website – one of NZ’s most popular supporters’ forums.
Mark Priscott
General Manager
Mark brings a detailed knowledge of the consumer electronics retail market to the company and directs our NZ and Australian distribution operations. Driving our business development, Mark is constantly searching for and developing exciting new products to enhance our customers’ profitability. Mark has an unrivaled knowledge of the consumer electronics sector and works hard to ensure Protempo stays ahead of its competitors and leads the market.
A graduate in law from the University of Otago and the Universita di Milano, Mark likes to hit the gym in his spare time to keep the guns in shape.
Adam Burge
International Sales director
With a wealth of international trading experience, Adam helps our customers source the right branded consumer electronics to fit their needs. Several years working in the buying department of a major electronics retailer has given him a detailed knowledge of what it takes to boost retail profit and market share.
Adam is a graduate of Cardiff University, where he studied Business Management. He is still waiting for Wales to win their first World Cup.
Jim Maia
VP of Business Development
Jim started his career as a CE buyer for the largest retailer in Toronto, Canada, followed by a role as a merchandise manager with the largest video gaming distributor in Canada. Most recently he worked for US publishers Interplay and Take 2 as VP of Sales and then as VP of Sales Americas for Madcatz. Launching Rock Band 4 was his last big project before joining Protempo, where he is responsible for growing our network of brands and retail customers.
A graduate of Seneca College with a degree in Business, Jim spends what spare time he has sports fishing or watching and playing football and hockey.
Andrew Preiss
Finance and Operations manager
A chartered accountant in both NZ and the UK, Andrew has a wide knowledge of the international commodity and technology sectors gained from his time in major global companies. With over two decades of experience in leading high-performance finance and operations teams, he’s perfectly positioned to help Protempo as we expand our global footprint.
Andrew is a graduate of St Andrews University but he still hasn’t sorted his hook off the tee – despite having a Physics degree!
Allen Lin
Director Product Management
Allen’s mission is to deliver smart, high performance and reliable products at significant savings that we can pass on to our customers.

Allen has over 15 years of product management experience, from highly advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment to consumer electronics manufacturing for leading global brands. He also brings retail experience to the table, having been a part of the largest consumer electronics retailer in the US. Allen graduated from the University of Auckland with a double major in Accounting and Finance.
Between work and daddy duties at home, Allen likes to get out and enjoy the natural beauty of New Zealand.
Shella Wong
Procurement & Distribution Manager
Shella keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes at Protempo. She provides support for our NZ retail customers, manages the supply chain, liaises with our manufacturers and organizes the logistics for our end customers.
Shella is a graduate of University of Auckland, with a double major in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics.
Alpha Leung
Operations & Business Analyst
Alpha is the mad spreadsheet specialist. With accounting, operation and information management expertise, Alpha manages the business intelligence for Protempo, transforming raw data into meaningful and useful information for business analysis purposes.
He graduated from the University of Auckland where he studied Accounting and Information Management. Alpha believes everything can be solved with spreadsheet… as long as it’s less than 1,048,576 rows.
Jason Ju
Accountant
Jason uses his skills to support the finance team in making accounts management more efficient and effectively. He has strong accounting knowledge and a solid background in the international trading and distribution industry, obtained from working in different major companies in New Zealand.
Jason graduated from Auckland University of Technology with a Commerce degree and is a bit of a badminton superstar.
David Guo
Technical Support
David might be intelligent and a technical whizz but it’s his excellent communication skills and ability to explain even the most complex issues to users that most impresses us. David’s background in IT coupled with deep technical knowledge makes him an ideal leader for our support team.
David was a star gymnast so he has no trouble bending over backward to provide the highest levels of customer service.
